Working Class Party, Michigan, nominated 20 candidates for the 2026 election

            The June 2026 Convention of the Working Class Party (Michigan) nominated 20 candidates for the November elections: eight for U.S. Congress, seven for Michigan state Senate, and two for the state House. In addition, three candidates were nominated for statewide education boards – allowing everyone in the state of Michigan to cast a vote for Working Class Party.

Several Hundred Thousand Votes for a Working Class Party

Several hundred thousand people voted for candidates who want to see the working class build its own party, breaking with the two parties that represent big business. That’s not a lot. But at least in three states this perspective was raised.

Nine-year-olds in most of those districts fell so far behind that it will take them one whole year just to catch up to where they should be right now (according to the standard tests taken at the end of last year).
