This spring, volunteers gathered over 2,800 signatures to put Jordan Villas on the ballot for Working Class Party in the 12th Illinois State Senate District – about double the number of signatures required by law.
Ed Hershey will be the Working Class Party candidate for Illinois' 4th Congressional district in 2026. Because WCP received just over 5% of this district's vote in 2024, the party was not required to gather signatures to appear on its ballot this year.
The campaign for a Working Class Party in Illinois is now collecting signatures to add a worker to its ballot for 2026. Supporters are circulating a petition to include Jordan Villas in the November 3 general election for State Senate in the 12th district.
